At TISA Secondary we work hard to ensure that every student feels heard, cared for, and connected to the community.  The foundation of this effort is the TAO Curriculum where students connect in small groups with each other, their teachers, and the wider community. The School Counselors in the Secondary work collaboratively with the Pastoral/TAO team leaders, parents, students, and staff to support this goal.  The secondary counseling team engages both as support for the wider community and work with students and families more directly through the following: 

• Classroom, Individual and Small Group Counseling
• Parent Consults and Workshops
• Transitions Support
• TAO Lessons
• Faculty Partnering
• Individual meetings with students and families
• Child Safeguarding including the Keeping Safe Curriculum
• Referrals (to external resources as needed)
• Future Planning (College/Career Counseling)
