Primary School celebrated the end of the school term with a lively and beautiful musical performance, featuring TISA students from grade P5 to P8. Their story takes place on Tuesday, March 12, 1912, in the Home of Silas Grimm for The Unwanted Children and on the run-down Mission Street, of what used to be the thriving fishing community of Morning Glory, Maine, USA. The play revolves around one day in the lives of the characters, the orphans that fill the House of Silas Grimm, the adults that work there, and the handful of street kids, who sometimes share a warm sidewalk or find a bed at the local mission. Everyone is looking for a purpose and a place to belong. Some of them found it on that day.

Inspired by a novel by Jean Webster, the play was delivered by twenty-six of TISA’s youngest stage actors to a mix of original lyrics and music written collaboratively by TISA students and faculty. Check out the video and the full credits below:
