Through the Middle Years Programme (MYP) projects, students experience the responsibility of completing a significant piece of work over an extended period of time.
In the Personal Project (M5), students explore a passion that they have and investigate this to develop a meaningful outcome as a capstone part of the MYP programme. The Community Project (M3) provides an important opportunity for TISA's M3 students to collaborate and pursue service learning.

Teaching English lessons at UNHCR - I Taught English Lessons at the UNHCR Centre to Refugees. The goal of my project was to plan and teach three English lessons, which I would teach at the UNHCR centre to refugees aged 9-17 to help develop their language skills. While this was the short-term goal, the long-term goal is to ensure an increase in their equality of opportunity. EMMA

Designing for Self-Esteem.I’ve loved fashion design since childhood. Drawing is my hobby and when I draw a person or design a character, the most exciting part is their clothing, because you can’t tell someone’s personality off their facial features - you could get a hint of it through their hair, but only fashion has the capability to tell you everything you need to know. Fashion is the best way to express yourself, because unlike music or art, fashion is omnipresent in life. SELIN

Basketball as a Way of Keeping Fit and Improving Teamwork Skills. For my personal project I chose to promote basketball as a way of keeping fit as my topic. I planned to promote basketball as a way of fitness for people to be able to have a healthy lifestyle because people nowadays are very unfit and mostly spend their time on their cellphones. TOGRUL

Helping the Stray Animals of Baku. The inspiration for my Personal Project stemmed from my long-lasting love for the animal kingdom, ranging from the small Etruscan shrew found in grasslands, to the massive blue whale found in the depths of the ocean. In the past, I’ve donated money to online communities, like the “Born Free” association, which allows people to ‘adopt’ exotic animals like elephants, dolphins, and several more species by donating a certain amount each month to support their basic necessities (“Adopt an Animal”).
