As a part of a comprehensive counseling program TISA provides support and guidance to all students throughout the college application process.  The counselor works together with the “Taking Action Ourselves” (TAO) teams to get students thinking about who they are and how they might design potential futures.  This, with a strongly encouraged growth mindset, assist students to better answer the question of “best fit” both of program and subject as they apply to universities.  With so many choices, across countries, and university types, we work to help the students find a university where they can continue to thrive.

The Personal Project is at the heart of the MYP and it is the culmination of the inquiry process in Middle School. In the Personal Project, students explore a passion that they have and investigate this to develop a meaningful outcome.

While the outcome of the project is important, the focus is on the process. As students research and explore their topic, the product and their chosen Global context, they continuously reflect on the information collected and how they achieved this.

The Personal Project also deepens the students' understanding of the Approaches to Learning and of themselves as a learner.
