On a grey Winter day the M2 students went on a glorious bus trip around some of Baku's most iconic venues.  Having been taught how to use their phone cameras, the students were instructed to SNAP shots of BAKU places that were interesting and or special to them.

As part of our Understanding Culture unit in the Language & Literature  classroom, the students also developed their reflection skills.

By looking at my own photos with the visitors, I started to realize another layer of self assessment. For example, I was able to really flesh out why there were no pictures of big icons of Azerbaijan, like the Flame Towers, just by talking with some of the visitors. It was something I never thought about and they made pay attention to that detail."

                                                                                                                                                               -Laszlo, M2

My reflections  have improved because now I see photos in a different way, and I am able to spot small details and I know how to edit the picture in a way that sets emotions."

When evaluating the photos, I had to stay in a specific range of words which was around 150 words. This was especially hard for me because there is so much about to talk about within a single photo and I  had to be precise."
