Who We Are?

P6 students have started the school year with plenty of enthusiasm and positive energy. Our first unit of inquiry, Who We Are?, focuses on the concepts of responsibility, making choices and discussing the impact of these choices. We have read several books which explore these concepts and students have been making connections to personal experiences and the wider world. They have been sharing stories of responsibility and considering the consequences of making good and bad choices. 

Below are links to the stories we have read so far which you may want to listen to again with your child and engage them in conversation. Students shared responses to how these stories were connected to our unit and also described the main themes of the books. Students followed the structure of the story, "What If Everybody Did That?", to write their own examples connected to making good choices in school.
