A well-rounded student is one who achieves balance in their daily life. Participation is sports, clubs and activities provides our students with a means to find this balance. All students are encouraged to develop interests outside of the classroom and to use these as outlets for their physical, creative and intellectual talents.

Despite our relatively small size, TISA offers a wide range of co-curricular opportunities for our students. The vast majority of these are teacher-led and are free of charge. Our programmes continue to expand and it is worth noting that each year we survey our students to identify their preferences as well as areas for further growth. Some activities run before the start of the school day, some at lunchtime and the remainder at the end of the school day.

The Afternoon Club

The Afternoon Club is an after-school programme for Nursery and Early Learning Centre (ELC) children run by the nursery staff and supervised by the TISA nursery manager. It is designed to provide children with an enriching environment that offers a variety of activities including arts and crafts, reading, indoor and outdoor play, circle time with games, and show-and tell sessions.

We offer 35 places for children in Nursery, P1 and P2.  Nursery children must be two and a half years old (completed 30 months) before they can join the Afternoon Club.

We are open from 12:15 to 3.30 pm. and follow the TISA whole school calendar.  On full staff meeting days in TISA (four times a year), the Afternoon Club closes at 3.00 pm.  No lunch is offered in the Afternoon Club but a mid-afternoon snack (around 2:30 pm) usually consisting of fruits, sliced cucumbers and/or carrots, bread, cheese, yogurt and water to drink is provided to all children.

Children may join the Afternoon Club at any time throughout the school year.  We offer various attendance options, from one to five afternoons a week.

For more information on application process and fees, please contact the Nursery Office Administrator, Ms Farida, and she will be happy to assist.
